A Fresh Start for Kids Soccer in Ottawa

Give your kids the best possible start in the game - Ottawa Footy Sevens is kicking-off the new year with a new concept in house soccer programs in Ottawa.

Whether your boy or girl is completely new to the game or continuing with a sport they already love, we'll be bringing together the most-respected coaching group in the city with the best facilities and superior customer service. Li'l Sambas kicked off in summer 2021 with over 300 kids joining us for our first season.

We'd like to invite all kids ages 3 to 12 to join our Li'l Sambas Soccer Program this summer. Our development model is inclusive to children at all levels of play. Whether your boy or girl is completely new to the game or continuing with a sport they already love, Li'l Sambas Soccer League is a great way for children to be introduced to the beautiful sport of soccer and get them active and for that all-important physical activity.

Creating the perfect learning environment

Every session in every age-group is supervised by our professional coaching staff and always takes place on the latest generation of synthetic turf to ensure the best playing surface to master the soccer skills that will become the building blocks for the players' future development.

We will help foster intrinsic values by igniting a passion for the game in a fun-filled environment while eliminating extrinsic values by distancing our young soccer players from the external pressures of the adult game.

We'll never lose sight of the importance of fun in every session. Kids that aren't enjoying themselves rarely learn. The more fun the kids are having the more they learn.

Why choose Li'l Sambas Soccer?

Although the program may only have begun in 2021, the people behind it are familiar faces to the soccer community in Ottawa Ottawa Footy Sevens and our coaching group have been around for over a decade establishing a reputation for quality, attention to detail, and customer service. Each week over a 5,000 adult and youth players join them for recreational soccer leagues and youth development programs in the National Capital Region.

Every parent knows that organised sports can be costly but we've designed Li'l Sambas to fit your pocket and your lifestyle while still providing great coaching, the best facilities and access to everyone regardless of experience to make sure that no young player is left on the sidelines.

All our recreational games and developmental sessions will be played on a high-quality FIFA grade turf field. We think it's important for your kids to begin their soccer on a modern, premium surface to provide the best experience and learning environment possible. Each week, your children will be working on their physical literacy, ball mastery and participating in small-sided games. Our action-packed hour at our beautiful synthetic turf facility at Immaculata High School will develop the 4 R's of technique:

  • Receiving skills: on the ground and in the air
  • Retaining the ball: protect and escape moves
  • Running with the ball: core dribbling techniques
  • Releasing the ball: ball-striking techniques on the ground and in the air
